Last weekend there was an airshow in Salinas. There were tons of commercials for it on the radio and they kept talking about this thing called robosaurus. Naturally I youtubed it and found out that it was a giant fire breathing, diesel powered, t-rex robot that eats cars. Well after seeing some video and pictures of the beast I had to see what he was like in real life. Friday night we went out drinkin (I tried to bring back the word ninckempoop and had mixed results) Anyway saturday rolls around and i'm not so sure I feel like driving to salinas to go see robosaurus. We got back from some surfing and Craig (new kid) is all about going to the airshow. So I sack up and go get a hambuger from carls jr. (that place is awesome by the way) and we head to the airshow. I didn't really know what to expect out of an airshow but I must say it was pretty cool. There was a guy in a sleavless t-shirt that read "Party Crew " across the back. Lots of mexicans and a bunch of war verterans. Vendors sold things like fighter jet kites, armed forces themed flags. one read "kill em' all.... let god sort em' out" hahaha. Lots of other patriotic shit. Anyway robosaurus came out within 45 minutes of us being there and he lived up to the hype(although I must say he is slightly more hysterical on video than in person). He "ate" 3 cars. I say ate but he really just bit the roof off and burnt it with fire until it split into 2 pieces, then he dropped it on the ground. It would have been much cooler if he had actually consumed the car (version 2.0 maybe?).
Heres a little taste of robosaurus (theres a dude in his head controlling him haha), I have one of him eating a car but it was too long to post on this shit blog. I'll post the longer one on youtube. look for it under ROBOSAURUS. Although robosaurus was the main attraction the rest of the airshow was actually pretty cool. They were doing some wild maneuvers in some prop planes and the blue angels at the end are just crazy. All in all it was a good weekend.
