The Yanks are back, Iowa game

BAY SHORE -- I'm not the die-hard Yankees fan that I used to be (see the Minnesota Twins years of college) but after watching parts of each of the four Yankees-Red Sox games this weekend, the Yanks are back (if the pitching holds up).

Thursday they teed off on John Smoltz. Friday I was very intoxicated at a bar in the city when that idiot A-Rod went deep, and after that the series was basically over. In New York, between 11:45 and midnight, Friday's game was watched in 26 percent of area homes with a TV in use. Kind of a big deal.

That's my baseball update for the year. Thanks for the grad school suggestions (even you, Per). I looked into meteorology and all the advisers from the schools I emailed said I would need to take like two years of linear equations or some nonsense just to get the prerequisties, so that's not looking likely. Right now, I'm continuing to tryna with journo life and jauns.

Im tryna with Iowa game, too. Do we have anywhere to stay?

I was gonna stay at one of my boys' apartments. I'm sure it would be cool if you stayed too.
