Pacific Grove, CA -- So tomorrow will be the one week mark of work at Pebble Beach. So far its going pretty smoothly, the company is over budget so we have been working 8 hour days, and since I start at 5 AM I get out of work at 130 giving me all day to chill. The basic structure of pebble beach golf maintenance is as follows:
-First of all it is california state law that you can't work more that 5 hours at a time without a break (pussies) so at 10:00 we have to punch out for lunch. Lunch is good, free food and better than penn state dining hall.
- There are approximately 35 guys and one girl on the crew. I would say that 15 are white (2 of which may or may not be mentally retarded) and the the remaining 20 are mexican (5 of who have no idea what "english" is)
- I think the mexicans are making fun of me any time they speak spanish and laugh, but i think i'm just paranoid.
- We get 5 bucks a month towards anything in pebble beach for stretching in the morning. We also get a 10 dollar target gift card every month for car pooling to work.
- Califonian's waste more time that any other region of Americans. We spend about 20 mins after lunch reading a newsletter and shootin the shit. That combined with morning stretching and waiting for the sun to come up before we can start working means i only work for about 6 hours a day.
Anyway, the beach is sweet and I've been going there like every day, i got "hella" burnt (that how that say it round these parts) Still very few hot chick in the area, I need to find someone soon. If anyone knows any cali jauns tell them to contact me via gmail. Cuz thats the only way i communicate anymore.
East coast fa life!!!! (not really both coasts are weird, I'm moving to Montana)
